Carlos DeJesus is assistant principal at Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos High School in the Humboldt Park Neighborhood of Chicago. He explains how in the past five years, his students have taught themselves about urban food deserts and have acted on that knowledge by helping to contruct a rooftop greenhouse on the high school and by introducing fresh produce to community.
